Free drinks via apps
These apps often have free drinks to claim.
Free drink and £5 voucher with Mixr
Mixr is a new app that lets you search for, view menus at and book at any pubs and bars owned by Stonegate Pubs. You can also pay in the app and earn points.
As part of its launch, it’s offering a free drink when you sign up for the app. Plus you can get a free £5 voucher if you use our referral code RF98T4WP and connect a bank card.
Free drinks every day with Dusk
The app Dusk gives you a free drink each day at selected bars.
Just download the app and look for the bars participating. If you use the referral code AWEBB5 you’ll earn 500 reward points. I’m not sure they actually do anything right now, but there’s no harm in adding it to your account.
Free drinks with Embargo app
Another app, this one lets you check in to various venues to claim free drinks and discounts. Some are only available if you’ve collected ‘stamps’ from previous visits.
Use the code AMPLIFYING when you sign up. Not sure if there’s a reward but it’s worth a go!
Free drink with Green King Sport app
Download the Green King Sport app to get 10% off future orders during live sport. There’s also the chance to win more free drinks and prizes such as tickets to gigs, festivals and sporting events.

There seems decent coverage of pubs across the big towns and cities (eg 9 bars in Leeds, 5 in York and 5 in Huddersfield), but you won’t be able to use it everywhere. You can see participating pubs in the offer section of the app.

Pub promotions
2-4-1 Birra Moretti
You can currently get yourself 2 for 1 pints of Birra Moretti at participating pubs. You just need to go here and fill in the form. It’ll ask you to search for a nearby pub and you’ll get an email with your voucher. Then you can redeem it at the pub you chose.
This runs from Monday 11 March 2024 until Monday 8 April 2024.
Free pint of Camden Stout (expired)
You can get yourself a free pint of Camden Brewery’s new Stout at participating Castle Pubs. You’ve got to go here and fill out some details to collect the voucher.
Once you’ve got the voucher, you’ll only get 10 days to use it, but you can claim a voucher until 18 December 2023, as long as they don’t run out of vouchers first.
There’s a map of participating pubs on the website to find one nearby.
Free G&T with Schweppes (expired)
Schweppes is giving away 80,000 free gin and tonics at a range of pubs across the country. All you have to do is fill out a form online and choose a pub to collect your G&T.
This is running until 29 October, but the free G&Ts could run out sooner. There are loads of pubs and bars taking part, so you should be able to get one local to you.
It’s worth noting that we had issues claiming this on desktop as it didn’t trigger the location-sharing notification, so if you’re having issues, try it on your mobile.
BrewDog: Hotter weather = cheaper beer (expired)
BrewDog is offering discounted beer depending on the weather in your local area.
If the temperature rises above the baseline temperature they set, they’ll bring down the price of their Cold Beer by 25p per Celsius. So the warmer it gets, the cheaper your beer will be.
For example, if the baseline temperature is set to 20°C and the local temperature in your area rises to 24°C, you could save £1 on a Cold Beer.
This deal is running from 5 September to 12 September 2023. It’s available in BrewDog bars that serve Cold Beer located in England, Wales and Scotland (excluding Edinburgh Airport).
So do check before heading to your local BrewDog to make sure that you can get the deal!
Free Birra Moretti (expired)
You can get a free pint of Birra Moretti at your local pub by signing up on its website.
You’ll be asked to choose a pub you want to get it from, but this can be changed later if necessary. Once you’ve signed up, you get a voucher in your emails to claim your free pint.
Most of my local pubs were participating, so you can probably just claim it on your next night out. But be quick, as there are only 50,000 free pints available and your voucher must be redeemed by 17 September 2023.
Greene King: Women’s World Cup Final free drink (expired)
You can get a free drink during the Women’s World Cup final on Sunday 20 August at your local Greene King sports pub.
All you’ll need to do is show up wearing England colours, England face paint or the England kit to get a drink of your choice on the house.
You can find your local Greene King sports pub by typing in your postcode on their website.
National Pub Fortnight: Free drink (expired)
Between 10 and 23 October 2022 you can get one of the following drinks for free at participating Great British Pub locations:
Corona Extra, Stella Artois, Budweiser, Guinness, Gordon’s Gin & Tonic (flavours vary by pub), Heineken, Kronenbourg 1664, Amstel, Foster’s, Strongbow, Strongbow Dark Fruit, John Smith’s Extra Smooth, Heineken 0.0%, Coors Light, Carling, Madri, Coke-Cola, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Schweppes Lemonade.
You need to claim a voucher from a mobile browser. This requires you to enter your mobile number to validate your account. Then you choose your pub and drink, and show the voucher at the bar.
There are 20,000 available so they could all go before the close date. Sadly there’s no way to check participating pubs before giving your details.
